Description

Fortune Healthcare manufactures Dutahair, an oral hair loss therapy. It contains the reductase inhibitor Dutasteride as its active ingredient. This means that it inhibits the enzyme 5 alpha-reductase, which converts testosterone to DHT (dihydrotestosterone). Dutasteride inhibits both the Type I and Type II forms of the 5 alpha-reductase enzyme, making it extremely powerful but also increasing the risk of side effects.

Effects of Dutasteride

Men with male pattern baldness or Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) have elevated levels of the hormone Dihydrotestosterone (DHT). An enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase produces DHT from testosterone. Dutasteride works by inhibiting the 5-alpha-reductase enzyme, preventing the creation of DHT, which stops male pattern baldness from progressing.

How to take it

Fortune Health Care’s drug is available in gel capsules that are used orally. One capsule (0.5mg) is usually taken once daily, with or without meals. It is better to take it every day at the same time. The drug should be used until the symptoms of hair loss cease; therefore the length of treatment will vary by individual. Symptoms may improve after 3 months, 6 months, or longer, but continue taking the drug until they are totally gone. The drug may alleviate symptoms without totally curing the disease.
